Description on back of picture: “The old stage yard in the rear of the Stamford House as it appeared in 1913- From the collection of H.F Sherwood. The Stage House, later called Stamford House, facing Main Street on the left, was opposite the Grand Union Hotel. This alley now called Stage St. (1945) is just east of the Jones Drug Store on Main Street. The Stamford House was torn down in 1915.”
