First Home of the Stamford Trust Company

The Stamford Trust Company received its Charter in 1889. Two years later, July 1, 1891, its doors were opened for business at the corner of Main and Atlantic. At the time Stamford has a population of approximately 16000 and was preparing to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
