Description

The "Silver Dollar Cafe" Stamford's most ornate saloon was opened on March 16, 1892 by John H. Lee on Main Street at Quintard Place. The photo shows the interior complete with brass spittoons, electric lights and fans. The marble floor was inlaid with eight hundred silver dollars and several gold pieces.
