Title

Columbus Park

Description

Formerly Known as West Park, this public area was rededicated and renamed Columbus Park in 1960 and a statue of Christopher Columbus was erected. Back in 1908 when this picture was taken, a civil war monument was in the center of the park and piles of cannon balls were on either side. This is the 38th in a weekly series of Old-Time Stamford photographs.
