Description

Betsy Barnum House, built by Isaac Hoyt between 1715-1730 on Bedford St. Only pre-revolutionary house that was still standing in the center of Stamford. Acquired by the Stamford Historical Society in 1943, the house is a four-poster Colonial type. The foundation and chimney are made of cut stone and fitted with no mortar.
